80s Nautical-Theme Crochet Top – Free Pattern and CAL
This year, crochet is big for summer, but so is the nautical theme – red, navy and white has been showing up everywhere!
So I thought what better way to showcase my love for all things 80s than by crocheting this fab top in nautical cotton – Brown Sheep Cotton Fine in Wolverine Blue with Cotton-Ball as a contrast colour:

The pattern is from an old Patons Gem Cotton – 4 ply crochet book from the 80s.
I’ll be crocheting the main top in Brown Sheep Cotton Fine – Wolverine Blue:
with contrast stripes in ‘Cottonball’:

What other yarns could be substituted for the Patons Gem Cotton?
We use Brown Sheep Cotton Fine which is a 4-ply cotton/wool blend, but any 4-ply cotton will do.
